The Hatchet job the Athletic posted today on Scott Stevens was a disgrace. I canceled my subscription after giving the editors an earful. The writer, an avowed Maple Leafs fan, should be ashamed of pushing his woke narrative rather than writing a respectful article.

Thats why i ended my subscription… the articles were great a few years ago now theyve got a bunch of whiney woke writers and the commenters are the biggest toolbag fanboys around

I'm sure he knows exactly what he's doing writing that too, and the timing of it. Totally uncalled for and just a lowblow directed at the franchise/fanbase when it looks like things are finally falling into place for us. Sean Fitzgerald is a total clownshow, (frank) him.

That was one of the most clinical 6v5s I've ever seen lol. Insane, this team just doesnt quit. Shame they didn't tie it, but you love to see that fight. Damn crossbars!(3 tonight I believe)

Agreed, it just feels different from any of the past few seasons. You never feel like they're out of a game, no matter the score.

Its getting to the point where just making the playoffs isn't good enough for this team. This team has set an insanely high expectation with their level of play to this point, and anything besides winning a round or two might be a disappointment. The playoffs are going to happen, so the division and even the presidents trophy should be the goal right now while getting ready for the playoffs.

I’d be excited for a playoff win, beyond thrilled with 2 series and honestly might be content with that if they lose. What a leap from the last several years.

I know this is redundant, but I can’t help but feel the next 2 games are important. We haven’t been our dominant selves, and I don’t want that to become a habit. The Rangers are good and that’ll be a tough building. And Dallas has firepower. Both teams have top goaltending. Getting 2 wins, or at least playing great for both games and getting a split, will be important.

The next 10 games are important. I said a week or two how how this is our toughest stretch of the season coming up. Outside of the Flyers, 9 of those 10 games are against what should be top tier opponents. Rags, Stars, Hurricanes twice, Boston twice, Florida twice, and the Pens all between now and the new year.

If this team is as good as everybody and everything says they are, go prove it and go atleast. 500 or better. Preferably .600 or better.
